Almost A Pool Day

We are on the waiting list at our pool.  That simply means we have restrictions on when we are allowed to go to the pool.  When July 5th rolls around we are allowed to go swimming any time of the day or weekend.  So Cary and Ellery were really excited to hit the pool last night.

I had both kids dressed and ready to go when Cary got home from work.  We loaded the stroller up and headed up the street.  As we got closer we realized there must have been a swim meet going on, which meant the pool was closed.  GREAT!!  Cary and Ellery were super bummed.

So to make the most of the evening we filled up the pink plastic pool on our deck and hung out for a bit.

Aww, how cute?!

I'll admit I wasn't that disappointed because I could sit in the air conditioning with Walt and just watch the play time!  :)

What do you do when you choose not to sit in ice cold water?  Take lots of pictures of a baby and play with the camera of course!
