The 2 hour allotted "Quiet Time" in our house goes something like this:
1:00-1:30 - trying to get a wiggly toddler to stay in bed (the stop watch for QT doesn't begin until she gets still and actually stays put)
1:30 to 2:30/3:00 - Toddler nap
1:45 - Mommy settles down in bed and begins to feel her body finally relaxing
2:00 ish - baby wakes up 1/2 way through his nap time and need some slight attention before moving him to sleep next to me. Finally a nap.....
2:30/3:00 - Toddler wakes, needs potty or talks in her room while she plays. Mommy is up and trying to get sleepy mind awake and back in the game of being a Mommy.
3:00-3:30 - STILL QUIET TIME but I hear this...."Mommy!" "Mommy!!" "Mommy!!!!"
One day she'll understand the meaning of "Quiet."
3:30-4:00 - snack and baby wakes up from his nap, then the long afternoon hours are in full swing. My goal for this time of day, wear her out (which usually means wearing myself out too).
